Alex Grant is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Myriota Pty Ltd, which offers global internet of things connectivity via satellite. Dr Grant was previously a Professor, and Director of the Institute for Telecommunications Research at the University of South Australia. In 2004, he co-founded Cohda Wireless, the leading supplier of software for the Connected Autonomous Vehicle market.

Myriota won the New Business category of the 2017 Telstra SA Business Awards. Dr Grant was the recipient of the 2013 Pearcey Entrepreneur Award, and the 2008 IREE Neville Thiele Award from Engineers Australia.
